FREE Group Tutoring Announced for the Fall 2018 Semester

The Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) is collaborating with the Departments of Chemistry, Biology, Math, Physics, Economics, Information Science, Accounting, Engineering, and others to provide free tutoring in 30 Fall 2018 courses that have traditionally created hurdles for students. Tutoring will begin in week 3 of the semester. Registration for tutoring sessions will be available soon at

Tutoring sessions are designed to help students learn effective, efficient research-based study strategies in addition to course content. CLASS tutors participate in our nationally certified tutor training program and are supervised by CLASS staff or graduate students.

Group Tutoring for Spring 2018 Courses

The Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) provided 100 free group tutoring sessions each week in spring 2018 in 27 courses ranging from calculus and physics to accounting and nutrition.

Most small group tutoring will take place on the lower level of Bird Library adjacent to the Quiet Reading Room. Some sessions will occur in residence halls or classrooms.
